Driving in this morning I saw this thing sitting on the road as I
drove past. As I passed I said “Hey thats a Wild Turkey!” I
made the U and went back to take a shot with the point and shoot. It
flew off just after I got this shot. I guess its probably use to be
shot at with guns not cameras.

Yes, prom season is upon us. I had the opportunity to photograph a young couple Friday night.

I did a portrait of all the ladies for Mother’s Day 2009. My sister, mother, niece and sister took a shot in front of my mom’s favorite curtains. I think I needed a little more light and a prime lens of maybe around 28MM or 35MM. The 50MM would not work given the space so I had to with the 18-55MM Kit lens.

While waiting for a train at Columbia Heights I took this shot. I really liked how the shot looked with the gentlemen sitting on the bench.

After looking at the Official White Photostream on Flickr this morning, the picture of President Obama’s Signature struck me. I thought back the last words my dad wrote to me and how much he thought of candidate Obama in 2008. Sadly he passed never having a chance to cast his ballot. He was short 32 days of exercising his right as an American Citizen.
So, I thought why not use a few of the pieces licensed under CC License to create a derivative work and honor both of these men.
Thanks to White House for Posting these great shots.
