We all traveled to Delaware and began the process of packing my fathers room. The room had remained pretty much unchanged since his passing. His favorite pictures still hung on the wall and his favorite office supplies surrounded his desk. We packed his clothes to give them to AMVETS. He would have wanted them to go a charity like that. My father loved his tenure in the U.S. Army during World War II.
We folded his clergy robes to be cleaned and preserved. I think the girls are going to take them and treasure them for days to come. We gathered items to share with our sister who was not in attendance. I thnk she will be surprised to receive them.
It would not have been the same without some ice cream and cake to celebrate his birthday.
